Wings and Koi Things has been around since 2003, mainly specializing in Koi pond construction and maintenance. Early in 2007, Marici Samuelson, the present owner of Wings and Koi Things, took over and started an extensive waterfowl collection, bird farm , reptile and fish section.

Exotic Water Fowl

We boast three swan dams as well as two exotic duck dams on the premises, which are always well stocked and the birds are frequently rotated.

Bird Farm

There are over thirty bird aviaries, which house birds ranging from African greys to zebra finches. We also have twenty-five chicken and pheasant enclosures. Our well-trained staff clean and disinfect our cages daily. Birds with special needs are catered for on an individual basis.

Hand Reared Birds

We have a well-equipped bird hand rearing section, in which there are chicks all year round. Specifically requested birds can most likely be sourced for customers.We sell almost anything you might need to become the bird’s best friend for that ultimate bonding experience.

Reptiles

We cater for both the novice and expert in reptile or reptile husbandry. Stocking all requirements for reptile keeping, including lighting, heating, caging, decorative logs, rocks and plastic plants. We stock different varieties of medication and supplements. The crickets we sell are supplied by GA GA FEEDERS, which we sell at a very affordable price.

Our snake stock ranges from large Boas to hatchlings of various species including constrictors, rat snakes, King snakes and many more. Our Lizard stock includes green Iguanas, Leopard gecko and Bearded Dragons from hatchlings to adults. We have Australian Stick insects and Hissing Cockroaches for those that like that sort of thing.

Fish

We stock a vast range of cold water and tropical fish along with fresh water plants. Soon to come is a marine section…Watch this space!!!! We have a large selection of locally bred Koi from a variety of suppliers. Sizes of the Koi range from approximately 7cm to 45cm. The Koi food we carry is Aqua Nutro as well as other brands. We offer a maintenance and call-out service for all your Koi pond needs, and don’t be shy to ask for free expert advice.

Fun Farm

Our fun farm is open weekends between 9.30 and 2.30 where a staff member will be on duty while your children pet and feed our very tame and lovable animals, which include Angora goats, Dwarf Goats, sheep, baby donkeys, rabbits, Guinea pigs and chickens. We also offer pony rides. Small school groups/birthday parties can also be arranged on prior request.

For an entertaining day out come and join us on the corner of Atterbury and Olympus drive in Pretoria East. We are situated in a sensual location in the Plant Land Nursery, which offers a coffee shop and a large play area for children.
